Really, thank you to all my staff who, day after day, adapt to my pace of life in full jet lag, and accept to work hard even in the very early morning.

For February, the Ayu team has a busy schedule.

But I'm sure that with such team, we can do everything.

Given everything that's happened, I realize this every day from my work as well.

[Article] Ayu Goku to Grace New Single

An article about Ayumi Hamasaki with Dragon Ball
Oh Yes, i feel like want to smack Akira Toriyama's head because i don't like his version of Ayu's cartoon, i prefer Ayupan! :P

Popular manga-ka Toriyama Akira has been commissioned to draw an illustration of J-pop queen Hamasaki Ayumi (30, profile) for her latest single

The connection of course is that "Rule" is the theme song for the global release of "Dragonball," the Hollywood adaptation of Toriyama's mega-popular manga.

The first pressing of the single will be printed with the image of Hamasaki as the character Goku on both the CD and an accompanying DVD. It is the first time for Toriyama to create an original illustration for a recording artist. He said, "Actually I'm really not good at caricatures, and for a while I regretted taking on this job.

"Hamasaki-san has so many fans and I hope they don't get angry that the image doesn't resemble her!" Called "Dragonball Evolution" for its Japan release, the movie opens in Japan on March 13. The double-A side single "Rule/Sparkle" goes on sale February 25.

Rule/Sparkle single cover has been announced on the official site. 
The picture below is the cover for CD+DVD, the CD Only version covers will be announced when the single is released. Can't wait to see the other versions covers! 
The cover is kind of Retro, don't you guys think?
and to be honest, i don't really like it.. it's not really suitable for the Rule rockish song~ know what i mean?


According to the official site,all the 3 versions will have the first press limited edition. Pictures of Ayu which are drawn by Akira Toriyama (鳥山明氏), the original writer of DRAGONBALL, will be printed on discs of all three First Press Edition.
