[News] 16.09.2010 Billboard Japan Music Awards 2010 Will Be Held On 6th February 2011!

World-class music awards to be held ◆! Amuro and Kana Nishino, The Nominees

World Music Award as the second level - the Billboard JAPAN Music Awards 2010 - now revealed to be held on February 06, 2011!

In the event of the award ceremony will bring together artists of various genres, exclusive live performances. The award ceremony will be awarded to top Billboard JAPAN 1 year chart "Chart category", and music fans voted "Artist category".

The artists who are nominated are Namie Amuro, Arashi, AKB48, EXILE, Kaela Kimura, Justin Bieber, Kana Nishino, Hamasaki Ayumi, JUNSU / JEJUNG / YUCHUN as the Pop Section Category. Norah Jones, PE'Z The Jazz section category, Tsuzii Nobuyuki, Nodame Cantabile as the classical section category, VAMPS, HY, have been announced as the independent sector from the theory of relativity. The voting is starting from 11th January ~ 15th January, So please join us!

Tokyo Midtown and Billboard Live Tokyo, Those events will be held at Fuji NEXT (CS) and broadcast Live from Tokyo. If you're free to come here, Please do not miss it!

Too bad that we can't vote for Ayu because it's only for Japanese viewers (actually, we can vote but i think that it's unfair for the other categories artists whom we don't really know/may not know since we should vote for all 4 categories. Swine Flu Forces Japanese Pop Acts To Cancel Shows

Industry-leading record label and management company Avex has canceled concerts by highly popular artists due to the swine flu outbreak in Western Japan. The H1N1 virus has spread in the Kansai (Western Japan) region much quicker than in the Tokyo area.

So far Avex has canceled six concerts by three of its most popular artists, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kumi Koda an Ai Otsuka. The performances would have attracted an estimated 48,000 fans.

Originally the label had planned to provide anti-bacterial disinfectant to patrons at the entrance and mouthwash in the bathrooms, but in the end Avex thought the risk was too great. 

Rescheduled dates for the six shows have yet to be announced.

Previously, the swine flu outbreak led to the rescheduling of shows for the boy band Kansai Johnny's Junior, an act based in Western Japan and handled by the powerful management company Johnny's & Associates. The teen outfit was to play four shows on May 23 and 24.
