After a 1-month delay, ayu-chan finally welcomes her tour’s opening day without incident.
ayu-chan has also reached Hiroshima safely, on JAL 1607 flight, departing Haneda at 11:28 and arriving in Hiroshima at 12:55.
Though I am not taking part in today’s show myself, I have been excited since morning, sort like like in a festive mood

And then, though the stage front faces South, it affords a good view as long as you are close.

Looking at this seating plan, it seems like the stage is placed right in the centre of the arena. The front of the stage faces Stand D, while the runway stretches back towards Stand I, resembling last year’s CDL stage.
And it seems like the stage is closer to the audience than ever this time.

Looking at the incomplete setlist posted earlier, seems like this tour will be focused mostly on singles songs, and most of the songs have been rearranged.
Could this be due to the sudden change in plans?
There was also no costume change.

Maybe this live was made with the affected regions in mind?
Thus, there were no costume changes, no encore, no MC and no Thank-you mail. She wanted to convey her message through music alone.
Her hairstyle was short, and make-up natural. Her voice also seemed to be in good condition.

The live this time seems to have garnered both positive and negative feedback.
Without MC, costume changes, and tossing of signed balls, the tour does seem a little bare, but many people have submitted positive feedback.
“The setlist rocks!”
“I’ve wanted to see such a simple show”
“The orchestra was really touching”
“Though this wasn’t an extravagant stand-out show, I was touched by ayu’s thoughts and wishes to give support to the victims through song”

I have been stating that there’s no encore, but the last song ♪A song is born♪ was meant to be an encore song.
By the way, it seems like the audience sang along to this song, and ayu-chan cried lots.

But ayu-chan seemed to be able to convey her thoughts through songs. Her vocal training has shown results, with her voice coming out and stretching more.
Another highlight is the 23-man orchestra, with instruments like trombones and violins coming together to make wonderful sounds.
By the way, there are reports that songs have been rearranged, with a majority of them having a jazz flavour now.

Goods leaflets, which are distributed around goods booths at tour venues, now comes with AR!
To use 「ayupan AR」, please follow the steps below.
(It’ll be convenient to download the 『ARAPPLI』 application beforehand.)
What is AR (Augmented Reality)?
AR is a video programme that creates virtual things and information from our world of reality.
「ayupan AR」 uses your phone camera to pick out images of real-world objects, and matches them up with virtual images.
① Download 『ARAPPLI』 from iPhone 「App Store」 or Android 「Android Market」!
* 『ARAPPLI』 can be used on 「iPhone」 and 「iPod touch」 with iOS4.1 and above, and on 「Android」 version2.2 and above.
(For Andriod, 『ARAPPLI』 is only a beta version. Though it should technically run on software version2.2 and above, try not to use other applications at the same time, in order to free up memory space. It will not work for version2.1 and below. Please take note.)
* For those who cannot utilize 『ARAPPLI』 can still use the QR code. However, you will not be able to view the contents available on 『ARAPPLI』.
② Activate 『ARAPPLI』, scan the QRAR mark on the goods leaflet, and 「ayupan」 will appear!

I'm sorry that I'm so late to share these pictures because i just got back from a vacation hehe.
Ayu's wearing very simple outfit for the rest of the show!
it's quite surprising and fresh because it's the first time she does this type of concert.
The setlist is under the cut if you wanna get spoiled hehe~~

Sung in the original key... I think... sounds very close to the CD recording.

Arrangement was similar to MY STORY Classical. Lots of audience members cried.

Hasn't been performed in a while, people cheered when it came on. Sung better than recorded version?
- The entire concert went straight through from start to finish with no costume changes, no interludes, and no thank you mail at the end. Ayu also wore very natural makeup and had a simple flesh colored outfit on?
- Some songs were very different from their original versions and are more orchestrated sounding with the 23 piece[?] orchestra (Yay, strings and brass!) and some had a jazz flair to them
- Ayu cried during a song is born
- Most setlists came with this: 衣装着替・MC・アンコール・サンキューメールはありませんでした | There were no costume changes, no MC, no encore, and no thank you mail
- Chisa [knee injury and will not dance anymore], Subaru, 2-YAN, and Kayanocchi were not present at the concert... some have graduated from the dance team (Subaru for sure)
- Born To Be... is when the streamers shot out into the audience
- There are screens in the concert, so they were not axed with the other elements

- The show is about 2 hours long or so?
- from maikaru: Ive been reading on mixi more, and everyone is saying that most songs are not in their original arrangements. For example vogue is now latin style, and blue bird has been slowed to almost a ballad. There is no lasers or explosions, so some people said mirrorcle world is awkward... also bold and delicious seems to have some riffs from identity in it. Finally, many people thought @ the end of the show, that would be the time for mc, and when announce that please exit now etc came, so many people felt like "what??" And didnt know what to say. Its very rare for mixi to agree with ahs, but many people are feeling very mixed. On paper, the songs are great, but many of them are changed almost beyond recognition. (>_<) so... we will have to see. On another note, everyone is commenting how different her voice is,like its new, and they can definitely hear the change.

- The show is about 2 hours long or so?
- from maikaru: Ive been reading on mixi more, and everyone is saying that most songs are not in their original arrangements. For example vogue is now latin style, and blue bird has been slowed to almost a ballad. There is no lasers or explosions, so some people said mirrorcle world is awkward... also bold and delicious seems to have some riffs from identity in it. Finally, many people thought @ the end of the show, that would be the time for mc, and when announce that please exit now etc came, so many people felt like "what??" And didnt know what to say. Its very rare for mixi to agree with ahs, but many people are feeling very mixed. On paper, the songs are great, but many of them are changed almost beyond recognition. (>_<) so... we will have to see. On another note, everyone is commenting how different her voice is,like its new, and they can definitely hear the change.

This year’s tour, which was scheduled to start in April, has been postponed to May. Our troupe decided to use this 1 extra month to create an entire new show from scratch. The show for “HOTEL Love songs”, which we had been planning for since the start of the year, is something which I hold in my heart as a dream that I will definitely achieve one day! Now, I will put all my heart into the new show, “POWER of MUSIC”. With 23 band members, 10 dancers, 3 performers, and many many staff members in the A STAFF team, we will all come together as one and bring the best show ever to everyone. We will travel through the whole of Japan. So wait for us!
HOPE for JAPAN!!

Hamasaki Ayumi sets new Oricon record with 4 albums in the top 10
J-pop superstar Hamasaki Ayumi has set a new record by landing 4 albums in the top 10 of this week’s Oricon Weekly Charts!
The 4 remix albums (“ayu-mi-x 7 presents ayu-ro mix 4“, “ayu-mi-x 7 -version Acoustic Orchestra“, “ayu-mi-x 7 presents ayu trance 4“, and “ayu-mi-x 7 version HOUSE-“) were all released on April 20th and took the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th spots on this week’s Oricon Weekly Album Ranking.
The previous record for having the most simultaneous albums in the top 10 was held jointly by TMN, L’Arc~en~Ciel, and Hamasaki herself, with 3 albums each. Hamasaki also set a record in the Oricon Music DVD Ranking this week, by being the first female artist to take the 1st and 2nd position at the same time.
The singer commented, “I feel very honored to be able to update another record like this. This is all thanks to the support of fans. The remixes this time is one or two flavors different from the original, so I will be happy if more people can enjoy them. Also, the DVDs were sort of like a compilation of all the lives I’ve had, so I hope people can enjoy listening to and watching them both.”

According to Oricon’s Weekly DVD ranking for May 9th, pop queen Hamasaki Ayumi has officially become the female artist with the highest music DVD sales in Japan!
The previous record was held by Morning Musume, who has sold approximately 2.303 million DVDs since their live concert DVD “Morning Musume Memory Seishun no Hikari” was released in 1999.
Hamasaki’s most recent music DVDs “A 50 SINGLES ~LIVE SELECTION~” and “ayumi hamasaki Rock’ n’ Roll Circus Tour FINAL ~7days Special~” – which sold nine thousand and six thousand units respectively – have pushed her total sales to 2.313 million units, surpassing Morning Musume’s record by ten thousand units.
Ayu broke other Oricon records just last week when her four remix albums charted in the top ten on the Oricon album charts, making her the artist with the most albums to rank in the top ten simultaneously. She also became the first female artist to hold the top two positions on the music DVD ranking when her two music DVDs were released on April 20th.
